I bought these for Mom. She had shingles right around where the legs of panties bind. The pain was unbearable for weeks, and going pantiless was not an option. I picked up a couple of pairs of these at an outlet, and I love them. They stay in place, are not constricting, and don't show through clothes. They're way more comfortable than thongs or tangas. They're also fairly attractive on and provide some coverage for those of us who really don't like thongs. I'm buying more for the moment as maternity underwear, as they don't have a tight waistband and stay under the belly and can expand to curve a little for the belly -- I had been wearing bikini Undies, but the waistband began digging in.

I bought 3 pair and use them when running on the treadmill. I agree that going one size smaller creates a beneficial snug fit. One of the pair shows some friction wear and tear after a couple months, with the elastic high on the inner thigh on both sides peeking through just a little. Probably due to warm dryer settings? The other two seem fine. I would buy this product again. My wife thinks they look hot on me. I bought the Black with Red accent model.
